Richard John Walters 79 of Glasgow, KY died Monday night Oct. 25, 2004 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Harrisburg, PA the son of the late Charles and Ada Davidson Walters. Mr. Walters was a retired Master Sgt. in the U.S. Army having served in WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the South Green St. Church of Christ in Glasgow. He is survived by a daughter Frenchie Marie Belcher and husband Doug of Glasgow, KY; three sisters Gloria Walters and Fern Sucec both of Harrisburg, PA and June Loose of Enola, PA; two brothers Charles Walters of Harrisburg, PA and Donald Walters and wife Dee of Mechanicsburg, PA; three grandchildren Genelle Jones of Glasgow, Lynn Merciers of Elizabethtown, KY and Paul Priddy. Five great grandchildren, six nephews and two nieces also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Alice Pence Walters, a sister in law Betty Walters, four brothers in law Stan Sucec, Jim Loose, Alex Pence and Ernest Morrison and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday October 28, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hardin Memorial Park in Elizabethtown. Visitaiton will be after 4pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
