Robert Biggers, Jr.

Robert E. Bobby Biggers, Jr. 77 of Glasgow, KY died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Glasgow the son of the late Robert Elliott Biggers, Sr. and Inez Vaughn Biggers. Bobby was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and had also worked for the former Telescripts Cable Co. as a sportscaster and commentator for local programs. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired with the rank of Command Sgt. Major with the KY National Guard. Mr. Biggers was a member of the Glenview Christian Church in Glasgow. He is survived by his wife Madonna; 2 sons Mark Biggers and wife Debbie of Glasgow and Scott Biggers of Bowling Green; 3 step sons Brian Springer, Chris (Angie) Springer and Brent Springer; 2 grandchildren Robert Ashton Biggers of Elizabethtown and Hayley Vaughn Biggers of Glasgow; 7 step grandchildren Kyle and Chelsea Springer, Brynn, AnnDouglas and Ty Thomas Springer, Chase Christie and Sydney Springer and an Aunt Charlotte Coogie Grissom of Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday February 5, 2010 at the Glenview Christian Church. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Thursday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and continue Friday at the funeral home until 10:00am. At this time he will be moved to the Glenview Christian Church for visitation from 11:00am until time for the service.
