Robert Dale

Robert Dale 69 of Glasgow died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at his home. He was born in Glasgow the son of Norma Alexander Lyons and husband Bubby of Glasgow and the late Harold Dale. Robert was retired from South Central Rural Telephone Cooperative after 38 years where he was senior design engineer. He began his career with SCRTC at 18 years old and retired at the age of 56. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Trisha Davidson Dale; 1 daughter Tracy Russell (Bobby) of Glasgow; 1 son Jeffrey Dale of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Trista and Natalie Russell; his sister Brenda Grinstead; brother Dennis Lyons; niece Emily Lyons; nephew Andy Grinstead (Aimee) and great nephew Easton Grinstead all of Glasgow. He is also survived by a half-sister Rena Dale and half-brothers Leonard and Danny Ray Dale all of Illinois; mother-in-law Melba Davidson; sister-in-law Bonnie Wallace (Don) and brothers-in-law Danny Davidson (Mary Lisa), Tony Davidson (Peggy), Gary Davidson (Becky), Billy Davidson and Robert Davidson. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his stepmother Ruby Dale; grandparents Floyd and Mary Dale and Charlie and Floyd Alexander and his father-in-law Willie Davidson. Robert's daughter Tracy was a special daughter and caregiver for 2 years after his L-Vad heart surgery. She went above and beyond what any child should have to do caring for his daily needs. His mother married Richard "Bubby" Lyons when Robert was a small child and he raised Robert and his sister Brenda as if they were his own children. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 27th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Tuesday.
