Robert David 'Robby' Grinstead 65 of Glasgow died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Barren County Health Care after a long, brave battle with cancer. He is the son of the late Sewell and Doris Rutledge Grinstead. Robby was a Viet Nam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a self-employed painter and wallpaper hanger. He was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Brenda Dale Grinstead; 1 son Andrew 'Andy' Dale Grinstead and wife Aimee of Glasgow; 1 brother Stephen 'Pete' Grinstead (Susie) of Wilmore, KY; 2 sisters Anne Taylor (Buddy) of Glasgow and Becky Grant (Doc) of Greensburg; mother and father-in-law Bubby and Norma Lyons of Glasgow; 3 uncles James Lee (Eula) Grinstead of Glasgow, Malcolm (Jane) Grinstead of Cynthiana and David (Debra) Rutledge of Crossville, TN; 1 aunt Vera Guthrie of Bowling Green; 2 special friends Ricky Turner and John Coulter of Glasgow and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Grace Grinstead and Robert and Lottie Rutledge and a special nephew Darren McGuire. Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday, December 19th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will begin at 11am Tuesday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 4241 Roseville Rd., Glasgow, KY 42141.
