Robert Furlong

Robert "Barry" Furlong 56 of Summer Shade, KY died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Born in Glasgow, KY he was the son of the late Charles Amos Furlong and Virginia Nell Barrett Perkins. Mr. Furlong was a member of Refuge Church of Christ and former employee of Goodman Chevrolet-Nissan and Dana Corp. in Glasgow. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved boating and being on the lake. Survivors include his wife Teresa Walker Furlong of Summer Shade; a daughter Miranda Furlong of Summer Shade; a brother Charles Michael Furlong (Robin) of Summer Shade; a half-brother Danny Tibbs (Bonnie) of Cave City; his father and mother-in-law Albert and Shirley Walker of Summer Shade and a sister-in-law Christie Thompson (James) of Summer Shade. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, August 22, 2016 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00pm Sunday at the funeral home.
