Robert Penn Harris 58 of Glasgow died at his home in Glasgow. He was born in Glasgow a son of the late Joseph Howard Harris and Maud Speck Harris of Glasgow who survives. Penn was a 1972 graduate of Glasgow High School and was retired from the Motorola Company in Austin, Texas. He was an accomplished song writer and musician and was well known for his contribution to the music scene in Glasgow since moving back home. In addition to his mother he is survived by two sisters Linda Armstrong and husband M.D. of Glasgow and Bonita Downey of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother Joe Harris and wife Sheila of Glasgow; nieces and nephew Amber Hatton, Brandy Lawson, Ali Armstrong and Aaron Armstrong; 5 great nieces and 1 great nephew; several cousins and his pet dog Pacquito. A private family memorial service will be held and burial of his cremains in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Barren River Animal Welfare Assn. (BRAWA) or the Plaza Theater. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
