Robert Lenville 'Buck' Mutter 87 of Glasgow died Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Joe Nuckols Mutter and Susan 'Essie' Moore Mutter. He was a local farmer and the first in the area specializing in live fish for stocking. Mr. Mutter was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the South Fork Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school for 59 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Martha Pendleton Mutter; a daughter Denise Strader and husband Joe Bryan of Glasgow; grandsons Nick B. Strader of Glasgow and Andrew L. Strader of Franklin, TN; a sister Laverne Mutter of Glasgow; his brother-in-law Tommy Pendleton (Connie) of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and brothers, Ruth (Ruel) Young, Raymond (Helen) Mutter, Dick (Geraldine) Mutter and Delton (Anna May) Mutter. Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, December 30th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Monday.
