Robert Martin

Robert Jewell Martin 81 of Glasgow died Sunday August 11, 2013 at his home. He was born in Barren County a son of the late John Burl Martin and Vassie Ruth Jackman Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired foreman for Sorensen Manufacturing in Glasgow and he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He married Patsy Crabtree December 23, 1961 and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Patsy Crabtree Martin; 1 daughter Michelle Glover and boyfriend Dale Steff of Glasgow; 2 sons Terry Lynn Williams and wife Julia of Glasgow and Tony Martin and wife Denise of Jeffersonville, IN; 5 grandchildren Alanda Johnson and husband Shaun of Glasgow, Ashley Johnson and husband Robbie of Franklin, TN, Blake Williams and wife Amy of Glasgow, Casey Glover of Nashville, TN and Amanda Martin of Jeffersonville, IN; 5 great grandchildren Julie Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Carly Tabor, Haden Williams all of Glasgow and Maclyn Johnson of Franklin, TN; 5 sisters Beatrice Glass, Velma Bush, Mary Landrum, Maxine Hawkins and husband G.A. all of Glasgow and Betty Sue Esters of Cave City; 2 brothers Eugene Martin and Gilbert Martin and wife Norma both of Glasgow; 2 special caregivers Christine Sublet and Ashley Rigsby and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday August 14, 2013 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
