Dr. Robert Neal McKinley, 89, of Glasgow died Friday, August 28, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. He was born in Louisville, KY a son of the late Victor Lawrence McKinley and Clara Mengelburg McKinley. 'Dr. Bob' was a graduate of Male High school and after a semester at the University of Louisville he was drafted into the military and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his service he returned to college and Medical School and then to Cook County Hospital in Chicago for his internship. In 1953 he joined the Howard Clinic in Glasgow and began his general practice here that lasted over 42 years. Enjoying aviation, travel, photography and gardening were his interests besides his medical practice. Dr. Bob was a member of the Barren County Medical Society and the First United Methodist Church and was a teacher in the Open Door Sunday school class for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Marrs McKinley; sisters-in-law Dr. Carolyn H. McKinley of Glasgow, Vida McKinley of Chico, CA, Brenda Marrs of Hendersonville, TN, Maria Marrs of Glasgow and Martha Yezerski (Dr. John) of Murray, KY; nieces and nephews, Dr. George Franklin McKinley (Betty) of New York, Dr. Thomas McKinley of Florida, Mark McKinley (Annie), Don McKinley (Ann), and Linda Corlette (Jim) all of California, Paul McKinley (Diane) of Washington, Billy Marrs, Benji Marrs (Missy) and Dr. Brock Marrs (Ravin) all of Lexington, Dr. John Eric Yezerski (Courtney), and Dr. Matthew Yezerski (Erica) both of Franklin, TN., and Adam Yezerski (Emily) of Washington DC. Several great nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Dr. George McKinley and Dr. Vic McKinley and a brother-in-law Dr. William F. Marrs. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 2nd at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with military honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 11:00 until time for the service.
