Robert A. Newton, age 73 of Leitchfield passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.A He was born December 13, 1942 in Leitchfield, Kentucky the son of the late Willie Almond and Goldie (Ashley) Newton. He is survived by two sons, Jamie Newton of New York, and Robbie Newton of North Carolina, three brothers, Truman Newton of Caneyville, Fairley Newton of Leitchfield, and Clifford Newton of Elizabethtown, andA four grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alton Newton, and three sisters, Lily Mae, Amy and Mami Newton.
