Robert P. Bob Risley 64 of Glasgow died Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home after an illness. He was born in Herkimer, NY the son of the late Edward S. Risley, Jr. and Jean Risley Gaudin of New York who survives. Bob was a Viet Nam Veteran and was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service with the rank of TSgt. He retired in 2003 from the U.S. Postal Service and was also a former police officer with the Glasgow Police Dept. Currently as a deputy with the Barren Co. Sheriffs Office, he was a member of the Barren Co. Court House security team. He was a member of the Viet Nam Veterans of America, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Judy Spillman Risley; 2 daughters Yvonne R. Wilkinson (Randy) of Glasgow and Yvette M. Jenkins (David) of California; 6 grandchildren Kristen Haley Wilkinson and Kole Wilkinson of Glasgow and Cody, Cayden, Camrey and Carsdyn Jenkins all of California; 1 brother Donald E. Risley of New York; 3 sisters Carolyn A. Yardley (Terry) and Sheila White (Tim) both of New York and Patricia M. Strickland (Dan) of Maine. Seven nieces and one nephew also survive. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:30pm until 8:00pm and continue Monday morning until time for the service. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 500 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
