Rodney Lydell Trigg, II passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, in Plano, Texas. He was born February 23,1993 in Munster, Indiana to Rodney and Monica Trigg.

Rodney graduated from Merrillville Senior High School in 2011, and upon receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Technology in 2019 from Indiana State University, he relocated to Plano, TX. He began his career as the Safety Inspector at Blount Fine Foods in Mckinney, Texas, and he also joined the American Society of Safety Professionals. Rodney lived everyday with positivity and was determined to reach the career goals he had set for himself.

Rodney was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, and he always had a big smile for everyone. He truly had a heart of gold, and as a brother of the PI Kappa Alpha Fraternity, he volunteered at Bethany House and Special Olympics, as well as several other charitable events.

As a child and into adulthood, Rodney loved baseball and spent every moment he could playing the sport. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, and he was excited to recently have taken his young niece to her first Cubs game; a memory she will have forever.

Rodney will always be remembered with Love by his parents, Rodney and Monica Trigg; sister Mariah Katherine Trigg of New York; brother Matthew Trigg ( Valeria) of Houston, Texas; two very special nieces Monica and Isabella; aunts Terri Jones, Sonya Trigg-Neal (Fay), Monica Roldan (Teddy); uncles Joe Trigg (Ali), Cedric Trigg, Erron Trigg (Tammy), Keith Trigg(Sandy) and Chris Trigg (April); special cousins Danielle Jones, Alexandria Trigg, Keith Trigg, Jr. Joseph Dean Trigg, Leland Jones, Christopher Trigg, Brian Mills, Serena Roldan, Alexis Roldan, and Esteran Roldan; great uncle, James Otis Trigg; great aunt, Andrea Pagan; a host of cousins, PI Kappa Alpha Fraternity Brothers, coworkers, and friends.

Though Rodney has left us way too soon for our hearts to understand, there is a solace in knowing that he has been reunited with his paternal grandparents, Mary Katherine Trigg and Cecil Dillon; maternal grandmother, Maria Hortencia Magana; great grandfather, Pablo Magana; aunts, Nancy Trigg and Geneva Trigg.

The service for Mr. Trigg will be held at First Baptist Church, on Saturday, February 8th, at 1:00 PM, with burial in the Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church.    Arrangements are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
