Rohena Frances Duvall

Rohena Frances Duvall, 94, of Glasgow, died August 22, 2024 at Glenview Healthcare. Born on November 5,1929 in Glasgow, she was one of nine girls born to the late Thomas Stone Houchens and Rossie Spillman Houchens. Rohena was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long-time member of Glasgow First United Methodist Church. Rohena was an outstanding cook and especially enjoyed hosting large family holiday gatherings at her home. She and her late husband, James, loved traveling in search of antiques to add to their collection. Rohena also found joy in reading, walking, tending to her garden and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include six children: Brenda Nelson of Glasgow, Freddy Duvall (Andra) of Smiths Grove, Patty Duvall Cates of Louisville, Ricky Duvall (Rita) of Glasgow, Mike Duvall (Billie Jo) of Glasgow, and Phillip Duvall (Mel) of Louisville; eleven grandchildren: Jay Nelson (Ruth), Melissa Stone (Wade), Jeff Duvall (Dawn), Katy Carroll (Patrick), Wes Cates (Vanessa), Jennifer Cates (Jen), Sara Myers (Brandon), Heather Burke (Corban), Estella Thompson (Dustin), Chris Duvall, and Angela Duvall; thirteen great-grandchildren: Nelson Stone, Nicholas Stone, Samantha Stone, Adia Couture, Ashton Carroll, Adalyn Carroll, Andrea Carroll, Briley Cates, Avery Cates, Maren Myers, Kinsley Forbis, Raelynn Burke, Gabe Allen, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Rohena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James Duvall; granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Duvall; eight sisters, Beulah Crawhorn, Alma Jackson, Gunell Green, Willodean Davis, Maxine Houchens, Juanita Davidson, Naomi Duvall, and Izetta Thompson; daughter-in-law, Pat Duvall; and son-in-law, Johnny Nelson.

The funeral service will be held at 1PM, August 27, 2024 at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11AM on the day of the service.
