Rondall Payne

Rondall B. Payne 78 of Glasgow, died Wednesday morning at the T. J. Samson Hospital. He was born in Barren County the son of the late Robert Lee and Erma Jewell Hunt Payne. Mr. Payne was a heavy equipment operator and was retired from the Kentucky Highway Dept. He was also a former employee of Ragland-Potter Wholesale Co. Mr. Payne served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Dover Baptist Church at Mt. Hermon. He is survived by his wife Shirley Steenbergen Payne; 2 daughters Jennie (Mark) Daugherty of Franklin, TN and Janet Thomerson of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren Holly Thomerson of Glasgow and Caitlin Daugherty of Franklin, TN; 3 sisters Lula (Eugene) Martin, Nell (Earl) Bowles and Dixine (Arlen) Proffitt all of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Ruth Payne of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother Russell Payne and a sister Lottie Woodcock. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday Dec. 29, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1pm Thursday.
