Roy Brooks

Roy Douglas Brooks 68 of Glasgow died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at his residence. Born in Barren Co. he was the son of the late Herbert Brooks and Elizabeth Rutledge Brooks of Glasgow who survives. Mr. Brooks was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, a former Police Officer for the Glasgow Police Department for 27yrs and a Security Guard for Wal-Mart and T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He also served in the U. S. Air Force and the Kentucky Army National Guard. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Patricia Spencer Brooks of Glasgow; 2 daughters Connie Holmes & husband Darrell of Park City, KY and Laura Brannen & husband Lawton of Statesboro, GA; a step-son Jimmy Crumpton of Glasgow; his father & mother-in-law Bernice & Eva Spencer of Glasgow; 4 grandchildren Callie, Morgan & Thomas Holmes and Julian Brannen; a sister Mary Mitchell Oakes & husband Gary of New Albany, IN. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a son Roy Douglas Brook, Jr. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Tuesday September 28, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4pm Monday at the funeral home.
