Roy Williams Bunch, 82, of Bowling Green Kentucky died peacefully October 27th at Christian Health Center in Bowling Green. He was born June 9th, 1932 in Glasgow, Kentucky, son of the late Walter Wheat Bunch and Annie Jewell Williams Bunch. He grew up on his family farm near Glasgow and graduated from Hiseville High School in 1950. He then attended the University of Kentucky where in graduated with an agriculture degree in 1954. After serving in the Army for two years and traveling with a government job, Roy secured a job with Roundy's as a Meat Director where he worked for 26 years in Wisconsin. Roy was very active in his professional career, church and community services. He served on several boards including the Milwaukee Meat Council, Waterford Lions club and Waterford school board. In addition, he was an elder for several years at Vernon Presbyterian Church and a member at Bowling Green Cumberland Presbyterian church. He had a love for sports and played both basketball and golf late into his life. He coached his son's little league baseball teams. He was a passionate UK basketball fan. Roy is survived by his wife, Patsy Ritter Bunch of Bowling Green, KY; a son Michael Bunch and wife Patti of Lake St. Louis, MO and their two sons Conner and Parker Bunch; a daughter-in-law Patricia(Martin) Bunch and her daughter Payton Bunch; two sisters Lois Crabtree and husband Carson of Greensboro, NC, Gayle Berry and husband Danny of Glasgow; sisters- in-law Mildred Bunch, Peggy Reece and Shirley Blanck and husband Harvey; brothers-in-law Marshall Bailey and wife Patty and Max Ritter and wife Debra; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Roy Bunch and his brother Roger Mitchell Bunch. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, October 31, 2014 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Neals Chapel Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or the Neals Chapel Cemetery.
