Rubert Swift

Rubert Louis Swift, 74, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, October 2nd, 2014 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born on August 20th, 1940 in Grayson County, the son of the late Obie R and Berthel (Boone) Swift. Rubert enjoyed building street rods and showing cars. He is survived by his wife, Ann Swift; 1 son, Doug Swift; 1 daughter, Debbie Branham; 3 grandsons, Matthew Swift, Christopher Swift and Craig Branham; 1 granddaughter, Morgan Goodman-Swift all of Louisville; 1 step-daughter, Gena Harrison; 1 step-son, Scott Swift; 2 brothers, Herbert Swift of Leitchfield and Phillip Swift of Irvington and 1 sister, Charlotte Brooks of Louisville. Rubert is preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Berthel Swift. Funeral services will be Sunday, October 5th at 11:00 am CST at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Rev Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the McCanless Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Saturday after 2:00 pm CST and Sunday from 9:00 am until time of service.
