Ruby Lowe Berry, 86, a life-long resident of Austin, KY passed away Friday, April 15. 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. She was born in Barren County, March 16, 1930, the daughter of the late Ted and Sarah Lowe. She worked as a cook at the Austin Tracy School for 37 years, a member of the Barren County (Austin) Homemakers, the Austin Tracy Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary: and several various community organizations. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Austin. Survivors include a son, Tommy Berry and wife Carolyn of Austin; two grandchildren Sherry (Donald) Jones of Glasgow and Cleatus W. (Jennifer) Phillips of Newnan, GA; four great-granddaughters Megan Jones, Molly Phillips, Maggie Phillips and Annie Marie Phillips; one niece Marie Crawhorn; two nephews Roy Francis and Richard (Virginia) Francis; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Claude Berry; two half-sisters Mary Francis and Hattie Goodman and two nephews David and Carroll Lovell. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 19th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
