Ruby Emberton

Ruby Irene Nabors Emberton 97 of Glasgow died Sunday November 4, 2007 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Berry Nabors and Nannie Bell Underwood Nabors. Mrs. Emberton was a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church since the age of 16. She was a homemaker, mother and caregiver. Survivors include nine children: Stanley Emberton and Billy (Sylvia) Emberton both of Louisville, Arnold (Doris) Emberton, Rex (Edna) Emberton, Harold (Ruby) Emberton all of Glasgow, Brenda (Charles) Dismon of Fountain Run, Steve (Nancy) Emberton and Ruth (Robert) Jolly all of Glasgow and Jim (Karen) Emberton of Versailles; 32 Grandchildren, 71 Great-Grandchildren, 34 Great Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Emberton, a son J. B. Emberton, two daughters-in-law Joyce and Edna Emberton; 3 sisters Augusta Borders, Erma Jones and Vera Martin; a brother Elmer Buck Nabors; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday November 7, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:30am Tuesday at the funeral home.
