Ruby Smith

Ruby Dell Smith 92 of Cave City, KY died Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was a daughter of the late Hershel J. and Sarah Elizabeth Sheffield Gibbons and wife of the late Cleon Smith. Mrs. Smith was a retired supervisor for the Kentucky Pants Co. in Glasgow and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is survived by a son Dennis Smith and wife Sharon of Bowling Green; a daughter Greta Johnson and husband Brent of Brazil, IN; 4 grandchildren Jason (Melissa) Smith of Smiths Grove, Justin Smith of Washington, DC, Dana (Gabe) Boone of Sullivan, IN and Jarrod Olson of Brazil, IN; 6 great grandchildren and 2 brothers Walter (Ruth) Gibbons of Cave City and Doug (Linda) Gibbons of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Earl, Lewis, Arthur and Waldo Gibbons and 3 sisters Alice Boles, Effie Chase and Alma Chase. Funeral services will be 3pm Saturday, February 21st at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 2pm Friday and continue Saturday morning from 9am until time for the service.
