Russell Edwards

Russell C. Edwards 89 of Naples, Florida died Wednesday Oct. 5th in Naples. He was born at Randolph, KY the son of F. Courtney and Berta Mae Sharp Edwards. Mr. Edwards was retrired from the J. C. Penny Company after managing stores in many different states. He was a Veteran of WWII where he received the Purple Heart medal. Survivors include his wife Nina Ruth Britt Edwards; 3 daughters Helen Sue Shafer of Richmond, IN, Susan Joy (Larry) Smellie of Naples, FL and Linda (David) Polzin of Perrysburg, OH; 1 sister Ruthene Nuckols of Glasgow; a brother in law Addis Britt of Glasgow; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Ginny Hatcher and a son in law Robert Shafer. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday Oct. 11th at the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pm until 8pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and on Tuesday at the church from 1pm until time for services.
