Russell Shelley 83 of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and formally of Glasgow, died Sunday January 16, 2005 in Cuyahoga Falls. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky the son of the late Curt and Pauline Keenand Shelley. He was raised in the Beaumont community and at the age of 18 moved to California where he joined the U. S. Navy in which he served during World War II. On Oct. 2, 1947 he married Anna 'Pat' Stout and they lived for several years in Phoenix, Arizona where he bacome the chief engineer for Milum Textiles. In 1995 they moved back to Glasgow where they resided before moving to Cuyahoga Falls in 2003. While in Glasgow he was an active member of the Glasgow Bible Church and was also a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat; his daughter Karen Hopson and husband John of Cuyahoga, Falls, Ohio; three grandsons David, Mark and Nathan Hopson; two sisters Margaret Bryant of Waterview and Juanita Schlosser of Glasgow and one brother Curtis Shelley of Glasgow. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday January 22, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00pm until 7:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am until time for services.
