Ruth Edwards

Ruth Witty Edwards 91 of Glasgow died Monday, October 5, 2015 at Diversicare of Glasgow. She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late James 'Jim' Witty and Mary 'Mollie' Hood Witty. Mrs. Edwards was also preceded in death by her husband Gladwel Lee Edwards. She was a homemaker and also farmed with her husband. She was a member of Grace Community Church of Christ and was always active in her church ministries. Survivors include her daughter Joan Edwards of Glasgow; her son and her daughter-in-law Barry Lee Edwards and Frances Edwards of Glasgow; granddaughter Stacy Edwards Smith and her husband Greg of Hohenwald, TN; great-grandson Barrett Edwards Smith of Searcy, AR; a sister Thelma 'Cricket' Huckabee of Pahrump, NV; three sisters-in-law Wanda Witty of Glasgow, Joyce Palmore of Florence, KY and Nell Hensley of Edmonton. Ten nieces and nine nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters Effie Barrett, Nova Moore, Mary Stephens and Velma 'Hopper' Chenoweth and four brothers Bernice, Alpha, Dennis and Hascal Witty. Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday, October 10th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Randolph. Visitation will begin at 5:00 Friday.
