Ruth Hunt

Ruth Janice Hunt 77 of Glasgow, formally of Lamb, died Monday July 31, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barren County June 21, 1929 the daughter of the late Hershel and Effie Combs Burgess. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years James Burl Hunt; 3 daughters Debbie (Billy) Deckard and Connie (Wayne) Eaton both of Glasgow and Ellen (Eddie) Headrick of Tompkinsville; 1 son Freddie (Linda) Hunt of Lamb; 7 grandchildren Cindy (Shelton) Jackson, Kelly (Andrea) Deckard, Nikki (Josh) Smith, Jason and Jordan Headrick and Jessica and Matthew Hunt; 2 step grandchildren Shelley (Rick) Wisdom, Pansy (Kelly) Kingrey; 7 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren; 1 sister Virginia (Arlie) Thomas of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Wilma Margaret Burgess, a brother William Burgess and a brother in law Fay Hunt. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday August 3, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:30pm on Wednesday.
