Ruth Waller

Ruth Katherine Waller 93 of the Red Cross community of Barren County died Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Barren County Health Care Center. She was born in Barren County a daughter of the late John Thomas Alexander and Bessie Alexander Edmonds. Mrs. Waller was a dietician at the Red Cross School for over 20 years and was a long time member of the Old Zion United Methodist Church. She was very active in her church serving as a former trustee and Sunday school teacher for many years and helped with youth group Bible school. Survivors include a daughter-in-law Judy Grinstead Waller of Smiths Grove; a grandson John Waller of Glasgow; a granddaughter Lacey Waller of Bowling Green; 3 great-grandchildren Kristina, Samantha and Victoria; 1 sister Hilda Copas of BonAyr; a brother James Alexander and wife Dorothy of Glasgow; a sister-in-law Edith Alexander of Vicksburg, MS and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James
