Ruth Ward

Ruth Helen Ward 49 of Horse Cave, KY died Sunday February 12, 2006 at the Caverna Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Glasgow the daughter of the late Claude and Grace Craighead Jones. Mrs. Ward was a school teacher at Eastern Elementary School and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church where her husband is the pastor. She was very active in the church choir, a vacation bible school teacher and organized a shut in ministry through the church. Survivors include her husband Robert 'Robby' Ward; a daughter Melanie Brooke Ward at home; 3 brothers Robert Jones and wife Pat of Louisville, William Jones and wife Diana of Hiseville and Glenn Jones of Hiseville. She is also survived by her father and mother in law Ronald and Shirley Ward of Glasgow; brother in law Randall (Holly) Ward of Columbus, IN and sister in law Rhonda (Jessie) Martinez of Santa Fe, NM and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday February 15, 2006 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday after 1:00pm at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Wednesday at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church from 10am until time for services.
