Sadie Blondell Gibbons
June 20, 1929 — March 17, 2024
Sadie Blondell McCoy Gibbons age 94, of Cave City passed Sunday March 17, 2024 at NHC in Glasgow KY. She was born June 20, 1929 to the late Christopher C. McCoy and the late Emma Morgan McCoy. She was a graduate of Hiseville High School and was the wife of the late Waldo E. Gibbons for 63 years. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Blondell enjoyed baking, crocheting and raising baby calves for the Dairy.
She is survived by one son Randall J. Gibbons (Reyna); three sisters-in-law Bessie Gibbons, Linda Gibbons, and Ruth Gibbons; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny R. Gibbons; five brothers Owen D., Woodrow, Oliver, Charlie, and Roger McCoy; five sisters, Allie Mae Jolly, Annie Merle Shaw, Irma Jane Witty, Mattie B. Buster and Dorothy Pearl Owens and nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of TJ Samson Hospital, NHC and Dr Bale for their effort and compassion.
The funeral service will be held at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 21st, with burial to be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, and Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
