Sammie Lee Hayes, 67, of Glasgow died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home. Sammie was born July 12, 1948 in Randolph, KY to the late William and Odie Lee Hayes. He graduated from Glasgow High School and was employed at R. R. Donnelley for 35 years. He loved to take care of his farm and was an avid hunter. He professed in Christ at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church. Sammie was a family man and wholeheartedly loved his wife of 46 years. He was loved by everyone he met and always kept a big smile on his face regardless of how he felt. Sammie is survived by his wife Linda Curd Hayes; 2 daughters Melissa Mockabee of Glasgow and Shevonicha Perez-Colon (Tito) of Gallatin, TN; 5 grandchildren Chinna Graves, Ja`Marccus Mockabee, Sammie Mitchell and Morgan Domineck all of Glasgow and Ja`Kyia Mitchell of Campbellsville; 3 sisters Anna Lois Bransford and Nancy Driver of Glasgow and Stephanie Hayes of Louisville; his mother-in-law Dorothy Curd of Cincinnati, OH; 3 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law, 1 Aunt and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his lifelong friends Gary Fudge and Eddie Jackson. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Spencer, 2 brothers Fred Donald Hayes and Mark Hayes, his father-in-law Wesley Curd and a niece Lisa Depp. Funeral services will be 11:00 Thursday, September 3rd at the First Baptist Church with burial in the Barbour Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home Wednesday beginning at 5:00 and Thursday at the church from 9:00 until time for the service.
