Sarah Johnson

Sarah Johnson, 85, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. She was born on Wednesday, June 11th, 1930 in Hikes Falls, the daughter of the late John William and Bessie (Baize) Payton. She was a member of the Yeaman Church of Christ. Sarah is survived by her five sons, Charles Young, Elliot Young and Danny Young (Jennifer) all of Caneyville, Carry Young (Brenda) of Morgantown and Robert Young (Judy) of Horse Branch; two daughters, Paula Taylor (David) of Quality, KY and Sheila Johnson of Caneyville; three sisters, Junie Payton of Hartford, Donnie Webb of Houstonville and Ruby Humphery of Louisville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several step-children; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Orville Young; second husband, Noble Johnson; one son, Joel Young; one grandson, Michael Paul Young; two brothers, William and Harry Payton and two sisters, Myrtle Humphrey and Christine Payton.Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 9th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Raleigh Blancett will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oller Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Monday after 3:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of service.
