Sarah Piper

Sarah Moss Piper 87 of Glasgow died Monday April 30, 2007 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Wilburn and Dora Jessie Poynter. Her husband was the late Johnny Piper. Mrs. Piper was a homemaker and was a member of the Savoyard Baptist Church. She is survived by one son Gilbert Piper and wife Alice of Glasgow; one daughter Betty Blankenship of Glasgow; one daughter-in-law Kaye Piper; 3 sisters Mattie Houchens of Glasgow, Elnora Piper of Glasgow and Helen Byrd of Knob Lick; 5 grandchildren Nathan Piper (Sherry), Scotty Piper (Melissa), Jared Blankenship, Tony Piper (Jonita) and Tahnee Able (Tim). Also surviving are step grandchildren Debbie Caudill, Lindsey Boyer, and Katrina London along with several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Wendell Piper. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday May 2, 2007 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Buck Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
