Sarah Soards

Sarah Elizabeth Soards 47 of Glasgow died Friday, October 17, 2008 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Glasgow she was the daughter of Royce D. Hammer and Ruby Nell Brown Hammer of Glasgow who survives. Ms. Soards was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she is survived by 2 daughters Angela Dawn Copas (Jeremy)and Amanda Beth Soards (Phillip Shipley) both of Glasgow; 3 grandchildren Andrea Mutter, Ariel Cotton and Allison Cotton; a sister Shirley Tate of Gastonia, NC; 2 brothers Michael Hammer of Glasgow and David Hammer (Donna) of South Carolina and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by a brother Johnny Hammer. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Old Poplar Log Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Saturday at the funeral home.
