Sharon Stephens

Sharon Kaye Stephens 62 of Glasgow passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her home. Sharon was born in Glasgow December 18, 1950 to the late Lonnie and Evelyn Franklin Barton. She married Anthony Lee Stephens July 1, 1969 and from then, their journey began. Sharon is the mother of three children who all reside in Glasgow with their families. She was an active member of Peter's Creek Baptist Church, and loved to entertain others, encourage the weary, and include everyone she came in contact with in her prayers. She is survived by her husband Anthony Stephens; 3 children Traci and Dewayne Taylor, Todd and Lori Stephens and Troy and Lindsey Stephens; 12 grandchildren Griffin, Brittany, Chastin and Rafton Turner, Chandler and Chandra Taylor, Maddee, Sax, Weston, Marlee, Maylen and Knox Stephens; 2 great grandsons Trentin and Layne Turner; 3 sisters Wanda Barton, Vickie Davis and Jackie Barton, several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends she would call family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Barton. She leaves a gift to us all, her legacy. She lives in each of us whether by blood relation or in our hearts. Her journey continues through her husband, her children, grandchildren, other family and friends. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4pm Saturday and continue Sunday morning from 9am until time for the service.
