Sharon Tomes

Sharon Dianne Tomes, 69, of Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born on April 10th, 1944 in Louisville, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Holbert) Suchsland. Sharon was a cook for the Grayson County School System.Sharon is survived by her 5 sons, Bro Timothy Elwood Tomes (Becky) of Caneyville, William 'Billy' Tomes of Leitchfield, Ricky Alec Tomes and Larry Tomes both of Louisville, and Timothy Ray Tomes of Edmonson County; 4 daughters, Rhonda Dennis (Jeff) of Leitchfield, Ramona Catherine Lee of Louisville, Yvette Renee Stewart (John) of Caneyville, and Vickie O'Brien (Danny) of Louisville. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her late husband, Junior Thomas Tomes, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be Monday, May 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Elwood Tomes will be officiating. Burial will be in the Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 4 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
