Sherry Elaine Sewell

Sherry Elaine Sewell, 71, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky February 4, 1950, to the late Pleas McCarter and Ivern Williams McCarter. Sherry was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Kentucky State Hospital for 27 years before retiring. Mrs. Sewell enjoyed working in her flower garden and was a member of Glasgow Faith Church. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Sewell; one daughter, Marsha York of Glasgow; one son, Timmy Jones (Ann) of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Trevor Jones (Chelsie), Zack Jones (Kayla), Brian Jones, Brooke Pierce (Hunter), Jacob York (Kealy Stone); six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Faye Hackett, and Judy Lynch (Ronnie). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Grimsley; one son, Larry Jones; one sister, Rita Strong; and one brother, Terry McCarter. The funeral service for Mrs. Sewell will be held 1:00 PM Monday, October 11th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F.
