Sherryl Ann Swift 63 of Glasgow died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Glasgow the daughter of the late Corbert O'Shea Boston and Winona McGuire Polson of Louisville who survives. Sherryl was the child care director of T. J. Samson Day Care and was a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was very active in cancer support groups and the Relay for Life organization. In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Michael T. Swift; 4 children Schelly Vance and Beth Payne of Glasgow, Johnny Vance (Laura) of Smiths Grove, and James Timothy Swift (Faith) of Glasgow; 1 step-son,Jason Swift of Nashville; her sister Lou Ellen Boston (Bob Calfee) of Hiseville; her brother Charles Boston (Beranetta) of Danville; a half-sister Laura McConnell (Mike) of Louisville; 4 grandchildren Benjamin and Jesse Payne and Mary Kate and Grady Vance and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents John and Mallie Boston. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Thursday. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to either the American Cancer Society or the Barren-Metcalfe EMS at P.O. Box 304, Glasgow, KY 42142.
