Shirley Glenora Collier

Shirley Glenora Collier, 87, of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2023, at the Shanti-Niketon Hospice House in Glasgow. She was born in Vanduser, MO on October 13, 1935, to the late Charlie Kirby and Edna Yarbrough Kirby. Mrs. Collier was a homemaker and a member of Glenview Christian Church. Survivors include her children, Marsha Akins of Saint Genevieve, Missouri, Pat Waller of Evansville, Indiana, Belinda Harlow (Mike), Beverly Prater, Jim Collier, and Duane Collier (Nicki) all of Glasgow, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bill Bryan, Stacy Abt (Mark), Larry Waller, Cory Poore, Brandon Harlow (Alyssa), Laura Donovan (John), Perri Basil (Jamie), Sydney Collier (Fianc Jeremy Whalen), Laney and Ellie Collier; and great grandchildren, Brad, Jordan & Ava Bryan, Hannah & Raven Abt, Cheyenne & Cassie Poore, Ian & Kaylynn Donovan, and Kye Harlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, John "Wa-Wa" Collier; three brothers, Sterling, James, and W. F. Kirby; and two sons-in-law, Leon Prater and Jim Akins. The funeral service for Mrs. Collier will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and on Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mrs. Collier.
