Shirley Peden

Shirley Jean Peden 71 of Glasgow died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at her home. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Billy and Ruie Hurt Taylor. Shirley was a cashier for many years with Houchens and IGA Food Stores in Glasgow and was a member of Refuge Church of Christ. She is survived by 2 daughters Marla Gentry and husband Wayne of Glasgow and Donna McCandless of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Whitney Wood, Brandi and Kennedy Gentry, Shane & wife Kayla, Tyler Lesley and Bradley McCandless; 1 great grandson Colby McCandless; 1 brother Danny Taylor and wife Lolly of Edmonton; a brother-in-law Ben H. Williams of Glasgow and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Peden, 2 brothers Ronnie Lee and Freddie Taylor and 3 sisters Bonnie Williams, Patty Coffey and Donna Bell Taylor. Funeral services will be 2pm Sunday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Neal's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Saturday.
