Sue Carol Jaggers

October 5, 1932 — March 2, 2022

Sue Carol Bowman Jaggers was born on October 5, 1932, the youngest of five children of the late Clarence Bliss and Sue Jane Miller Bowman. She attended twelve years of school at Temple Hill, graduating as valedictorian in 1951. After a business course in Louisville, she was employed as a secretary at the County Extension Office in Glasgow for two years. She married in 1954, moved to Hardin County where she was employed in Civil Service at Fort Knox for 34 years starting as a Clerk Typist and retiring as a Management Analyst. She was a proud member of the BBN (Wildcat) and loved planting and growing flowers and vegetables, she was well known for the amazing tomatoes that she grew. She made a profession of faith and was baptized in 1947 at Freedom Baptist Church. She later attended Dover Baptist Church and then Round Top Baptist Church in Hardin County. After moving to Glasgow, she attended First United Methodist Church for the last fourteen years. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Gerry Bowman (Becky) of Summer Shade, Maria Marrs, Doris McKinley, both of Glasgow, Martha Yezerski (John) of Franklin, Tennessee, Melanie Jones (Larry) of Loudon, Tennessee, Romaine Webber (Jim) of Niceville, Florida, Ken Oliver (Vicki) of Livonia, Michigan, Marlene Anderson (Larry) of Colorado, Brenda Marrs of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Dan Larson of Florida, David Larson (Chalayne) of Chicago, Illinois; and several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leslie Lee Jaggers, Jr., two nephews, Dr. William Marrs and Dr. Robert McKinley, and her siblings, Inez Marrs (William), Oneil Larson (Rev. Gordon), Evans Bowman (Betty), and Christine Oliver (Maxie). The funeral service for Mrs. Jaggers will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 6th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mrs. Jaggers.
