Sylene Burris

Sylene Burris 76 of Glasgow died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Barren County native was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hatchett Wood and wife of the late Robert Burris. Mrs. Burris was a housekeeper and a former employee of the Citizens National Bank and Trust Co. in Glasgow. She was originally a member of the Pleasant Union Baptist Church and more recently had moved her membership and attended the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters; Shelia Killebrew of Indianapolis, IN and Peggy Fishback of Bowling Green, KY; 3 grandchildren Scott Fishback, Sylena Renee Fishback and Shayda Killebrew; 1 sister Mary (George) Thornton of Louisville; a special friend C.J. Faulkner of Munfordville and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Roger, Charles and Jesse Wood. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation for the family will be private. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of services.
