Sylvia Steenbergen

Sylvia Lee Steenbergen, age 76, of Glasgow, died March 3, 2023. She was born in Glasgow, KY on July 19, 1946, to the late Paul Wood and the late Annie Lee (Ward) Wood. She was a homemaker for her family, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to all. She was a member of the New Life Ministry. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry Steenbergen; son, Preston Steenbergen (Jeanie); daughter, Martha McCoy (Tony); grandchildren, William Steenbergen (Lindsey), Jody Poland (Jeremy); great grandchildren, Lilly Steenbergen, Lexi Steenbergen, Keely Poland, Blakely Poland, Brody Poland and Conley Poland; sister, Jeanette Brunett (Tommy); brothers, Russell Wood (Loretta), Johnny Wood (Jan); she is also survived by several nieces and nephews In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Carver; brothers, Gordon Wood, Earl Wood (Linda Jo), and Eugene Wood (Sue). The funeral service for Mrs. Steenbergen will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 6th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday March 5th and Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's. A.F. Crow & Son is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Steenbergen.
