Thelma Smith

Thelma Gwendolyn 'Nancy' Smith 83 of Glasgow, KY died Sunday August 8, 2004 at her home. She was born in Barren County the daughter of the late Ellis and Maude Witty Graven. Mrs. Smith was a seamstress and was formally employed by the Kentucky Pants Company in Glasgow. She is survived by 6 grandchildren; Kim Proffitt and husband Tim, Karen Johnson and husband Mark; Allen Thomas and wife Jenny all of Glasgow; Misty Thomas and A. J. Thomas both from Russellville and Taylor Ashton Herald of Bon Ayr; 5 great grandchildren Blake and Haley Perkins, and Logan, Mallory and Holly Thomas all of Glasgow; 2 brothers Ewell Graven and wife Louise of Glasgow and Ewing Graven and wife Etta Lee of Smiths Grove; 2 sisters Nell Ellis and Juanita Moore both of Glasgow and a sister in law Sammye Graven of Scottsville. Mrs. Smith was prededed in death by her two husbands Solon Thomas and Ruel Smith, a son Gary Thomas, 4 brothers Tommy, Garland, Ellis and Bill Graven and a sister Edna Britt. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday August 11, 2004 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pm Tuesday at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
