Thomas Dewayne Elmore

Thomas "Tommy" Elmore, 50, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born April 25, 1972 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Warner Wayne Elmore and Barbara Wright Elmore. Tommy was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. He started his career with the Jefferson County Corrections Center and then worked with the Jefferson County Police Department in 1999. Tommy retired from the Louisville Metro Police Department and started working for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. His latest job was with the Shelbyville Police Department. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Elmore; three daughters, Katelyn, Makenzie, and Audrey Elmore; two sisters, Candace Byrd (Kevin) of Mt. Washington, Jessica Steiner (Greg) of Louisville; one nephew, Ethan Byrd; and five nieces, Amelia Cook, Olivia Steiner, Riley Steiner, Avery Young, and Emmy Young. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benefit Fund Account for Audrey Elmore, Stock Yards Bank and Trust 4640 Southern Parkway Louisville, Kentucky 40214. Checks or a money order can be mailed to any Stock Yards Bank. A private family service will be held in Glasgow, Kentucky with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. A. F.
