Thomas Richard Powell 77 of Glasgow died Thursday March 3, 2005 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Barren County, KY the son of the late Paul H. and Fannie Williams Powell and was the husband of the late Lois McDonald Powell. Mr. Powell was a retired dairy farmer and had been a member of the Barren County FFA Alumni Chapter. He was a member and deacon of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He is survived by four sons, Brett Thomas Powell and wife Sherry, Richard David Powell, Mark Alan Powell and wife Kim and Timothy Glenn Powell all of Glasgow; 4 grandsons Curadhan Shea Powell, Joshua David Powell, Jesse Alan Powell and Mark Alexander Powell; two granddaughters Meagan Brittany Powell and Mikayla Ahston Powell; 1 brother Wesley Powell of Glasgow and 3 sisters Anna Lee and husband Billy of Cave City, Emma Laura Childress of Lamb, KY and Jeanette Furlong and husband Carroll of Glasgow. He was preceded in death by a sister Eula Mae Bartley. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday March 5, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00pm Friday at the funeral home.
