Thurman Hall

February 25, 1939 — August 24, 2020

Thurman Hall, age 81, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at his residence in Glasgow. He was born in Etty, Ky on February 25, 1939 to the late Noah Hall and Bethany J. Wyatt Hall. Thurman left home at a young age to express himself in the workforce of this world. He ended up in Cleveland, OH washing laundry, went on to night school to learn TV repair. He then came back home to open his own business in Neon, KY. From there, it was on to his next adventure, he and his brothers and close friends opened and operated the Mountain Motor Speedway in Ison, Ky, he ran it for several years and it is still opened today. So off to another adventure in his life, after the speedway he operated and owned a Coal Mine in Red Fox, KY. After working hard most of his young life, he learned to enjoy his life in Florida, where he loved fishing and enjoyed the evening sunsets. The thing about Thurman, if you meet him you would never forget him by his "Jokes", always telling a tell and stretching it to make you laugh, his expression on his face would tell all as he told you his stories. Always loved to cook, he enjoyed having company and loved playing the guitar. He loved the lord and has finally gone to be with his heavenly father. Thurman was a Kentucky Colonel and a very respected businessman. Survivors include 2 children, Anthony W. Hall (Tess) and Therma D. Marcol (Kris) both of Glasgow; 2 grandchildren, Andie S. Marcol (William) of New Orleans, LA and Harrison D. Marcol (Ashley) of Glasgow, KY; 4 brothers, Herman Hall (Martha) of Fort Pierce, FL, James D.
