Tristram Edwin Perkins 87 of Glasgow, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born in Metcalfe County the son of the late William Herman Perkins and Cora Jane Free Perkins. Tristram was an auto mechanic and former co-owner of College St. Garage. He was a WWII veteran, a 50 year member of Allen Lodge #24 F&AM in Glasgow and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of whom they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, Nell Whitlow Perkins; 1 son Maurice Perkins and wife Charlotte of Glasgow; 1 daughter Sandy Johnson and husband Eugene of Naperville, IL; 5 grandchildren Randy (Mary) Perkins of Glasgow, Jeff (Teresa) Perkins of Franklin, KY, Laura (Scott) Griggs of Louisville, Stacey (Rick) Hughes of Bowling Green and Dan (Renna Kaye) Pedigo of Glasgow. Thirteen great grandchildren including newest member of the family 7 month old Ryder Tristram Griggs and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Lucille Hope and 5 brothers Joe, Jack, Edgar, Calvin and Jim Perkins. Funeral services will be held 2PM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 3PM Monday, February 2, 2010 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 500 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141.
