Ulysses Scott Gentry 95 of the Freedom Community of Barren County died Wednesday January 25, 2006 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born in Monroe County the son of Isaac and Abbie Turner Gentry. Mr. Gentry was a farmer and a member of the Dover Missionary Baptist Church and he was also a member of the H.A.M. Henderson Masonic Lodge #515 at Bethlehem. He is survived by his wife Mary; two daughters Christine Turner of Tompkinsville and Abbie Combs and husband Randy of Glasgow; three sons Garland Junior Gentry and wife Roberta of Freedom, J. T. Gentry and wife Shirley of Louisville and Clifton Gentry and wife Rena of Tompkinsville; 23 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Beatrice Turner, a son Stanley Gentry, a grandson Larry Turner, a great grandson Thomas Scott Gentry, a son in law Thurman Turner and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00am on Saturday January 28, 2006 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00am on Friday. A Masonic service will be held 7:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
