Velma Anderson

Velma Anderson 96 of Glasgow died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Cumberland County the fourth of eleven children to the late Jessie Edd & Maddie White Anderson. She was the wife of the late Ray Anderson and also preceded in death by her first husband Earl Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Columbia Ave. Church of Christ and worked for over 50years in local factories before retiring. Survivors include a grandson Ben Bertram of Vinita, Ok; 3 great grandchildren Ashley, Gage and Katie Bertram; 3 step-grandchildren Kelly, Tony and Paula; a brother Kyle Anderson of Athens, IL; 4 sisters Flora Spears of Lancing, IL, Olene Geralds of Gamaliel, KY, Ruth Sewell of Indianapolis, IN and Juanita Blythe of Dubree, KY; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter Betty Sue Bertram and her husband Donald, a step-son Smokey Anderson, 3 brothers Ray, Taylor & Hershel Anderson and 2 sisters Clyde Ballard & Pearl Hall. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, July 19, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00am Friday at the funeral home.
