Velma Huffman

Velma Marie Huffman 79 of Glasgow died Monday February 25, 2008 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. She was born in Metcalfe County the daughter of the late Carl Travis and Christine Buckner and was the wife of the late Lawrence Huffman. Mrs. Huffman was a former employee of Sorenson in Glasgow and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Glasgow. Survivors include 2 sons Larry Huffman (Cheryl) of Boiling Brook, Il. and Danny Huffman of Glasgow, Ky; 4 daughters Margaretta Bailey of Bowling Green, Ky, Sheila Carter (Aaron) of Louisville, Ky, Charlotte Mattingly of Lexington, Ky and Marquitta Sanners (Dana) of Lexington, Ky; 2 sisters Annie Mae Shirley (Leanis) of Glasgow, Ky and Mable Greene of Vallejo, CA; 1 brother-in-law J.T. Huffman of Glasgow; 1 Aunt Isabell Woods; 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren survive. Funeral services will 1:00pm Friday February 29, 2008 at the Hopewell Baptist Church with burial in the Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and at the Hopewell Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00am until time for services. Arrangements are under the direction of the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
