Velma Jones

Velma Imogene Jones 82 of Glasgow died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Hospice of Southern KY in Bowling Green. Born in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Della Crow Copas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Jones. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of Dover Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 sons David Lynn Jones (Kathy) of Smithton, IL and William Clayton Jones of San Francisco, CA; 1 daughter Jennie Garrett of Glasgow; 1 sister Arlene Richey of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Christopher M. Jones, Stacia N. Shea, Dawn Angermeir, Carie Puleo, Cami Bush, Noah Jones and Jon Garrett. Several great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 25, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to your favorite charity or organization.
