Velma Steenbergen Wyatt 91 of Glasgow died Saturday February 26, 2005 at the Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow. Mrs. Wyatt was born in Barren County the daughter of the late George and Nellie Belle King Steenbergen and wife of the late James Radford 'Jim Rad' Wyatt. Mrs. Wyatt was a homemaker and enjoyed her farm and gardening and was a member of the Peter's Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters Jean Wade of Hiseville, Ann Myers and husband Wayne of Hiseville and Carol Thomas of Glasgow; two sons James R. Wyatt, Jr. of Lucas and Danny Kaye Wyatt and wife Susie of Glasgow; 16 grandchildren Russell Wyatt, Joseph Wyatt, Mark Wyatt, Julie Hatfield, Debbie Walton, James Wade, Rita Huffman, Tammy Ford, Phillip Myers, Phyllis Myers, Jeff Thomas, Cynthia Cutliff, Toby Wyatt, Amy Lowe, Joe Wyatt and Sharon Kay Emory; 28 great grandchildren; 2 sisters in law Myrtle Akers and Creava Galloway and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Lorene Wyatt, a son Leland Ray Wyatt; 6 brothers Sardis, Winfred, Delmer, Hershel, Chester and Orville Steenbergen; 3 sisters Lola Gunnels, Etta Dillard and Annie Mae Kinslow and one grandson Timmy Wade. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday February 28, 2005 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pm Sunday at the funeral home.
